The Pearl District Real Estate

The Pearl District, a former industrial section of northwest Portland, is a thriving community boasting a successful mixture of art, commerce and residential life. Art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants abound, and there are also a number of small clubs and bars. Embracing the brick-and-steel landscape left by heavy industry, locals have transformed old warehouses into retail spaces, studios, galleries and upscale lofts. The area is home to several Portland icons, including Powell's City of Books. The former Weinhard Brewery, which operated continuously from 1864 to September 1999, was sold for redevelopment as the Brewery Blocks. The Pearl District hosts events such as First Thursday and a monthly gallery walk. Getting around is now even easier with the new Portland Streetcar linking the Pearl District with Nob Hill and downtown.
