Kenton is the next up and coming neighborhood in North Portland. Work has begun on the Downtown Kenton Redevelopment Project, which is aimed at helping revitalize the historic Denver Avenue business district in Kenton and the adjacent area around the new Interstate MAX Kenton station. A large statue of Paul Bunyan stands at the corner or N. Interstate Avenue and N. Denver Avenue across from the light rail station, and is considered a symbol of the neighborhood.
